Architecture and rooms
The Main House was inspired by an Italian villa from the 18th century.
Among the features of this marvelous place, you have the music room, a rococo style room illuminated by a multicolored chandelier; the James Deering bathroom, with marble walls and silver touches; and Cathaym's bedroom, with a luxurious four-poster bed and a particular decoration with Chinese motifs that, by the way, was very popular in eighteenth-century Europe.
James Deering's tradition of collecting antiques allowed the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens to receive an important number of curious objects from various cultures. In fact, all the rooms have pieces of furniture, private collections and even sculptures according to the artistic representation of each room.
You can’t forget the beautiful and renowned Vizcaya gardens. These were originally modeled to recreate the French and Italian gardens of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

In the case of bad weather, you can rent a tent to cover the East Terrace with views of the Barge and Biscayne Bay. For events with 400 or more guests, it is suggested to rent a 33 x 180 foot tent regardless of the weather.

This schedule can be extended until 1:00 a.m.
General tickets include admission to the Main House and the gardens, and they are divided as follows:

Teenagers (from 13 to 17 years old): $15.
Children under 5 years old: Free.
Adults over 65 (with ID): $16.
Students (with ID): $15.
Visitors in wheelchairs: $10.
