Leal Bistro and Art

In between 27th St and North Miami Ave, famous Venezuelan chef Edgar Leal has combined his culinary genius with his taste for Latin American food to create a simple bistro that combines yummy food and artistic satisfaction.

We ate crunchy appetizers including a shrimp and avocado mix, a meat tiradito (thinly sliced), corn cakes with cheese, and the infallible tequeños with melao (cane sauce). For the main course we tasted a seafood soup and the pork ribs, which are cooked for more than 12 hours marinated with spices and accompanied by an innovative wasabi puré. Intense, well assembled flavors that will leave you hungry for a return.

The service was great and the experience was complete: our detailed conversation with the chef was passionate and educational, lead by a superb Ribera del Duero wine. We ended our visit with three valuable Mariana Montero Desserts: fig and nut cake, a Caracas mouse made with chocolate and light cream, and a lemon coconut cookie creation.

Happy Hour is from 4pm-7pm seven days a week.
