This year, the 21st edition of the Redland International Orchid Festival offers a wide range of activities, including educational conferences, exhibitions and the opportunity to purchase products of outstanding quality. The available options will provide a pleasant environment in which you will be able to enjoy a relaxing and memorable day outdoors.
The spectacular colors of the orchid flowers will astound you for three continuous days, from the 18th to the 20th of May in the Fruit and Spice Park in Miami. The event has been organized paying attention to the most minute details, offering close and comfortable accommodations, as well as a wide gastronomic range where you will be able to find a tasty hamburger as well as delicious Jamaican specialties.
What is included in the event?
The Redland International Orchid Festival will present three main categories of activities this year:
Sales: More than 60 vendors from around the world will offer their best products, ranging from ornamental varieties to the most exotic flowers which will help you enhance the beauty of your home.
Competition: a festival of this stature could not fail to feature a central event in which exhibitors will showcase their most treasured and beautiful products!
Lecture Series: An essential event orchid enthusiasts and collectors cannot afford to miss! The presentations are free of charge and will be delivered by vendors and competitors in their respective specialties.
How to plan your days during the Redland International Orchid Festival
To get the most out of this experience, you should be aware that each day of the Festival lasts 8 hours, starting at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The sale booths will be open from the beginning to the end of the day, the lectures will however be held according to a special schedule depending on the activities celebrated on that date.
Friday the 18th: On this day there will be three lectures on the agenda, starting at 1:00 p.m. and culminating at 3:45 p.m.
Saturday the 19th: You will be able to enjoy five lectures, starting from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Sunday the 20th: On the last day, five lectures will also be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The lectures will cover a wide range of interesting topics, from the species best suited for the South Florida climate to the most appropriate pesticides that can be used to ensure their optimal preservation.
How to get to the event?
Getting to the event by car is a breeze, take the Florida Turnpike, regardless of whether you are coming from the East or the West Coast, and from there, drive along the road to SW 184th Court, where the venue is located.

Parking is free: the venue offers a generous parking area, you will not have to pay a dime to park your car!
For those attending from abroad: you will be able to take any plants you purchase home with you, there will be an official USDA station on site where you will be provided with the appropriate transportation certificate.
The price of admission is US $10 per day. It is also possible to purchase a ticket that will cover the entire event for US $25.
